A dramatic Gothic Cathedral pendant light that commands attention. The pendant is out of a Benedictine monastery that was torn down over 15 years ago. We had two of these, but one was destroyed in the recent Asheville flood.
Body and frame have a nice patina. Some finish loss and rubbing but none that seems detracting. Very small bits of rust here and there, mostly unseen on the inside of the lantern frame. Wear and finish is typical of age.
Has a gold cap and gold highlights. The "glass" is a heavy material that is held in place by thin strips of soldered lead. Wiring is new, cloth covered as shown. The socket takes a standard medium base bulb. The canopy plate has two-prongs that key in, but you could use a standard canopy if you prefer.
Body cylinder is 10.5" x 27". Weighs 29 pounds 10 ounces.
