RARE Coleman 11/48 Nickel 242C Gas Lantern w Extras GREEN SUNRISE Globe VINTAGE

A very rare find and great items for your collection! Coleman November 1948 242C Single Mantle Gas Lantern.

This 73 year old Coleman camping lantern is in nice condition for an item this age! A very nice vent and fount with only minor wear, chipping, etc. It comes with a Coleman metal No. #0 funnel and two Coleman #21 mantles. I was able to light the lantern and ran it for a few hours after doing the following.

Cleaned the lantern, rinsed the fount, and shined up the brass parts. Cleaned and reinstalled the check valve. Installed a new seal in the gas cap, and ensured the lantern would pump up and hold pressure. These lanterns are very old antique items so there are signs of wear and use which may include minor chips on the vent, minor loss of paint or nickel, light surface rust on the bottom, etc.
