These maritime lamps, originally produced for use during world war II are rare finds from 1945. The craftsmanship and origin of these unique lanterns make them a valuable addition to any collection of antique maritime memorabilia. Best and Lloyd was founded in 1840 and specialized in producing lighting for the great houses of europe and america. Winston Churchill chose the firm for lighting in Whitehall, and Downing street. B & L ltd did the lighting for the Orient Express.
As we found in florida 1970... And have been safely stored. Age and wear, has rust and dents.
The burners are there and easilly come out. No cracks or chips in glass that we can see. Please see our photos as they are an important part of our listing description. Will do our best to answer questions.

We planned to have them electrified to use as porch lighting on our waterfront home.... Just unpacked after many years. Offering now as a lot! Historic war lanterns and saw battle. They show use and age.
