These Gothic Cathedral pendants are dramatic and command attention. We have a pair as you see. The table lamp in in the foreground and the red pendant in the background are not for sale.
The lights are 52 inches high and have 58 inches of chain and cord you could remove chain to shorten the drop to whatever you need. Cathedral lights of this type and size are almost impossible to find-and we have TWO. The pendants were in a Benedictine monastery that was razed over 15 years ago.
The bodies and frames are heavy steel with a nice patina. There is some finish loss and rubbing, but nothing that we believe is detracting. Some small bits of rust here and there, mostly unseen on the inside of the lanterns. Wear and finish is typical of age.
The finishes are original with a gold cap and gold highlights. The "glass" is a heavy plastic that is leaded in place like stained glass.
Wiring is new, cloth covered as shown. The sockets are E29 with an E26 adapters so they use standard bulbs. The adapters are removable and you could use E29. The canopy plates have two-prongs that key in, but you could use a standard canopy if you prefer.
Body cylinder is 10.5" x 27". Weighs 29 pounds 10 ounces. Please see our other listings for more vintage and antique lighting.
All vintage and antique lighting should be inspected and installed by a licensed electrician.
