Large Copper Brass Fresnel Glass Oil Marine Nautical Ship Lantern 17 Large

There is no burner inside. I can not find a makers mark anywhere on the glass or lantern. Opens at hinge to put in a burner or candle? A magnet does not stick to the material, not sure if it is copper, brass?
