Coleman lantern model 247 cpr

Coleman lantern model 247 cpr. These lanterns were made by Coleman specifically for CPR (Canadian Pacific Railway). This was lightly cleaned and could use a really good polish to bring out the nickle which is pretty good on the tank and burner frame. It has some scratches and spotting on the nickle but keep in mind these were kept outside and was exposed to the elements and is in pretty good condition, this is a very desired piece of both Coleman and railway history.

There are no major dings on the tank and the decal is really nice. The vent has a couple chips but for a kero its nice.

The CPR embossing is really nice and has not been covered at anytime like many you see. The decal is nice and is the original, not a replacement. The globe is a bold red sunrise which I believe is correct for a 68 model. The only piece that seems to be missing is the clip for the pre heat cup but that does not impart use. I will let the pictures show overall condition which I think is pretty nice for its age and how these were tools and used outside, but if you have any questions please ask so there is no doubt with the lantern.
