Coleman Canada Lantern Model Major 236 Green metal lid, Rising Sun Globe produced in 1949. Marked Coleman Trade Mark Reg. D, The Sunshine of the Night, Made in Canada, with 49 imprinted below.

Fount also has the rising sun. Collar is marked Major 236, instant light, gasoline only. There is also an imprint of the sun and Coleman Canada on the glass globe. Excellent lantern, especially for age. Comes in original box which is also very good. Knob turns fine, pump value also seems fine. Glass clear, no chips or cracks. On the one rim edge of the globe, it has an area that is not perfectly smooth from the glass making. Has that melted look and feel. It is not a chip or crack, i have attached a pic of that.

Only issue is some green paint loss on the top lid area as shown in pics. When I listed it initially I could not get the cap off, I was able to get it off with no damage to cap or lid, and have updated some of the pictures. Old mantle shows up in a couple but not all.
