ANTIQUE ROSE MfG NEVEROUT INSULATED BICYCLE KEROSENE SAFETY LAMP LANTERN

Neverout insulated kerosene safety lamp patented by the Rose Mfg Co in Philadelphia PA. No date but possibly pre 1900. Used in the early days for carriages, autos, and bicycles. Lamp is solid brass with large clear front lens and three colored gems on the sides and back. One side the gem is green the other side is red.

The back gem is red. The color difference is to tell passersby what direction the vehicle is traveling. There's no internal parts or wick or kerosene storage can. The glass gems have some dings. The door is fully functional. Due to the antique nature of this item there may be wear and tear, dings, rust. It is my policy not to clean antiques so it may be quite dirty and require polishing. It can stand fully upright without the bottom chamber.
