Antique Railroad Style Lantern Oil Lamp Ideal Brenner 20''' Burner w/ Chimney. Offered here is an antique railroad-style oil lantern lamp featuring an Ideal Brenner 20''' burner and clear glass chimney. The lamp is constructed in the traditional lantern form with protective outer frame, wide metal shade, carry handle, and central oil lamp assembly. The burner is marked "Ideal Brenner 20'''", a type of burner widely used on European and American oil lamps in the late 19th and early 20th century. The lamp features a decorative pierced burner gallery, adjustable wick control, and tall clear glass chimney.
The lantern housing surrounds the lamp to protect the flame from wind, giving the piece the appearance of early railroad, maritime, or industrial lantern lighting. These were commonly used in stations, cabins, boats, and workshops and are now popular decorative pieces.
The metal frame and shade have developed a warm aged finish that displays very well and gives the piece a strong antique industrial character. The oil font retains a nice aged tone and the glass chimney presents well.
Overall height is approximately 17-18 inches including the chimney. This is a striking antique lighting piece perfect for maritime décor, railroad collectors, rustic cabin décor, or antique lamp collections. Item pictured is the item you will receive. Condition Report : The lamp remains in good antique condition with age-related wear consistent with use and age. The lantern frame and shade show natural patina, finish wear, and minor surface marks. The oil lamp burner is marked Ideal Brenner 20''' and the wick adjustment knob is present. The glass chimney is included and appears intact with no visible cracks observed. The metal surfaces appear to be steel or tin with aged finish rather than solid brass.
