1920s Antique Haeckel Germany Brass Nickel Plated Carbide Bicycle Lamp. Approximately 7" tall x 7" wide with a 3" diameter chamber and 4" diameter lens. Carbide crystals go into the base and water is drip regulated onto the crystals creating acetylene gas also regulated by the top thumb screw. Produces a bright white flame inside the lens housing reflected and magnified forward. Small makers mark bird on the bicycle mounting strap, red and green jewel sides to mark right or left (port or starboard) really an extremely well made hand made lamp!
