Antique French Lantern Ceiling Light c1920. Copper/Brass. In Excellent Condition

Antique French Lantern Ceiling Light c1920. Acquired very recently in France, this multi-faceted / segmented lantern is octagonal & has a single door for bulb access.

It's in fab original condition, no damaged glass panels, they're all original. Increasingly hard to find, especially a good size like this & in such good order.

Usually found in hallways or porches in France, the design is based on 19thC candle lanterns, the enclosed shape protecting the flame of course & the door for lighting it. The bulb holder is hardwood & it takes a common candle bulb. There is an integral hanging bracket in the ceiling cover to safely suspend it from a ceiling hook. Lantern itself 25cm Wide & 57cm High (see last photo) Overall drop as seen is 85cm. It'll be a large box, appx 35cm x 35cm x 60cm, possibly prohibitively expensive to send outside of Europe but I've costed for it regardless.
