Antique Early Rare Brass Acenylene Miners Safety Lantern Nautical

This is an antique miners, hanging safety lamp / lantern, possibly French or German produced around late 18 00s to early 1900s. Appears to be made of brass and is complete with the glass as shown. It is be in excellent antique condition, including no cracks in the glass, or breaks the mesh. Seems to be in good working condition however there is no wick if there's supposed to be one it does need polishing.
