This Is A Very Nice Early 19th Century Tin Lantern. It Measures 12 Inches Tall To The Top Of The Hanger. It Is 6 Inches Wide To The End Of The Handle. It Is 4 Inches Wide At The Base.
This Was Found In Maryland But I Think It Was Brought Over From England As Many Of The Pieces From This Collection Were. It Has The Punched Slits On The Top. It Still Has The Hanging Hook But It Has Broken On The Top. The Glass Looks Old But Not Sure If It Is Original. The Door Does Open But The Hinges Have Been Resoldered At One Time. There Is No Candle Cup Inside. It Is Overall Still Pretty Solid But It Is Very Rusty.Love The Window On This One. Great Piece To Display Anywhere In Your Home! Treasures from four generations of collectors. Thanks for Shopping With Us!
