1890s ORIGINAL BRASS SKATER'S LANTERN WITH GREEN GLASS GLOBE BRASS HANDLE NICE

This is an antique 1890s original solid brass skater's lantern or child's kerosene lamp with scarce original green glass globe, brass tank, brass burner and brass vented top with original carrying handle also made of brass! 6 3/4"tall (11 3/4"to top of handle)..... Brass tank has hand soldered tin bottom.... Brass burner is in excellent working condition with no damage. It still turns the wick up and down smoothly...

There is a little sliding match door in the vented base where the lantern could be lit..... Ground threaded top and ground threaded bottom. The vented screw on top is also solid brass....

Excellent shiny nice condition with no dents or damage.. Original handle is also brass. This wonderful antique skater's lantern was probably used by some kid or adult on night trips to the outhouse! Many young people would go ice skating in the winter, often in the evening, so a "skater's lantern" like this would have been vital to finding their way back home.

This is one of the finest skater's lanterns I've seen! Guaranteed all original and over 125 years old....
