1880s ORIGINAL BRASS HURRICANE SKATER'S LANTERN WITH BRASS HANGER CHAIN NICE

Here's an early solid brass antique hurricane skater's lamp from the 1870s or 1880s. Vented underside of original brass burner.... Tapered round glass globe has ground threaded openings....

Brass top is vented and has original brass chain with ring on top from which it could be carried or hung from a tree limb or nail.... Excellent condition with only one small dent on side of tank & rough ground spot on bottom surface of tank. This was a popular style of lantern in the 1800s since it could be carried in the rain or windy weather without the flame going out. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
