Antique Romanesque Church Sanctuary Lamp St Mary Chandelier Lantern Repoussé Work. Stunning antique French Romanesque brass church sanctuary lamp chandelier surrounded by eight candle holders. Repoussé brass work of flowers and banded borders surrounding three cartouche panels of "N L D"... Probably from a family with a private chapel or similar. Aternating with three porcelain hand painted images of Mary in with gilt backs.

The main candle tier is cast brass/bronze as are the chains and the ceiling rose all with elaborately detailed casting. Rubbing, marking, odd dinks etc.

Othing major but noted and does not. Detract in any way from the sheer beauty of this sanctuary lamp. There are a few creases and old very odd small holes in the lower section as shown in photo 5. Indeed it could easily be repurposed with the chains shortened to hang in any room.... Becoming very hard to find of this quality. Measures around a 30 overall drop(top to bottom). Has an 18.5 diameter at widest points (candle sconce to sconce). Rose has a 6.5 diameter at widest point. All photos taken in good daylight. Weighs over 5 kilos unwrapped.

This will take a little time to make... The crate will weigh around 12 kilos when packed. Will display superbly in any contemporary or period setting. Has wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
