Vintage Copper Ship Lanterns Port Starboard Red Green Nautical Maritime Pair

If we find a maker, date, marine inspection mark, or evidence they're actual working navigation lanterns rather than decorative pieces, stop before listing because the price could change substantially. This is one of those pairs where identification matters.

Fantastic matched pair of vintage nautical navigation lanterns in aged copper, marked PORT and STARBOARD, with the traditional red and green glass globes. These have wonderful genuine age and character throughout-the copper has developed a warm, uneven patina with darker oxidation and areas of verdigris. Both retain their wire carrying handles and removable internal burner/lamp components shown in the photos. Matching PORT & STARBOARD pair. Raised PORT / STARBOARD plaques.

Beautiful naturally aged maritime patina. Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition with substantial age-related patina, oxidation, discoloration, surface marks and wear throughout. I have intentionally not polished the copper, as the original patina is part of the character and may be desirable to collectors.
