Vintage Chinese Cloisonné & Gilt Filigree Lady with Hand-Painted Butterfly Lantern - Phoenix Staff, Empress Leizu Style (10.25). A breathtaking vintage Chinese cloisonné and gilt filigree sculpture depicting an elegant lady inspired by Empress Leizu - the legendary Goddess of Silk. Finely handcrafted in mid-20th-century China, this exquisite figure embodies grace, beauty, and the mastery of traditional cloisonné enamel artistry. Her flowing robe glows in shades of royal blue, jade green, and gold, decorated with intricate cloisonné floral motifs and delicate gold filigree mesh sleeves. Her serene face and finely sculpted hands are made of a bone-like composition material, creating a lifelike, gentle expression.

The lady holds a long gilt staff crowned with a phoenix-shaped finial - a symbol of rebirth and harmony. Hanging from it is an ornate filigree lantern featuring a hand-painted glass orb with butterflies, surrounded by gold filigree petals, turquoise beads, and fine tassels. Each butterfly is carefully hand-painted, representing joy, transformation, and beauty. 10.25 (26 cm), including base. 7.5 (18.5cm) with staff.

One finger on the left hand is missing (see photos for detail).
