A very beautiful Arts & Crafts/Craftsman/Mission style light fixture. It measures 12-1/2" high x 6-1/2" wide x 6-1/2 deep. It features a grommet roof with stays along the roofline of the fixture.
There are four glass panes of amber stained glass. This fixture is solid brass and inside the ceiling plate there's a sticker stating this. There's also an old underwriter's laboratory sticker with an old logo, which makes me believe that this is likely from the late 1950's or early 1960's. It appears that it was rewired at one point as there are newer wires in it, and it may likely need to be rewired again, but the current cord has no exposed areas and may awork just fine after you inspect it. It appears that this has been around for a long time as there's a nice patina on the piece that has changed the shiny brass to a grey/green color that's very handsome and attractive.
I tested the ceiling plate and it's not magnetic, leading me to believe that it's also brass. The chain that it hangs from is metal. There are some paint splatters on the glass here and there which could be cleaned off with a razor blade and some glass cleaner.
You can take the glass panels out by bending down metal stays inside the fixture to release them and give them a good proper cleaning. It'll make a wonderful focal point at an entry, side or back door. And can even be used indoors in a hall or accent light in a corner perhaps!
So please feel free to ask for them! Thanks for looking at my listing! I like to call these items treasures! I always do my BEST to describe items accurately & honestly in the fullest of details so that you are an informed customer! Are used, unless noted as new. This means that they were well-loved, used, & preowned. Because items are usually used/vintage, I sell them as-is. I ALWAYS clean or launder the items I sell, & sometimes they will need more detailed cleaning when you receive them as these things are vintage finds!
I always pack things well, which you can read in my reviews my customers rave about! I hate seeing beautiful things accidentally destroyed! I do not charge for boxes & packing materials & to help the environment I reuse clean cardboard boxes & clean packing materials whenever I can!
