

Vintage/Antique Anchor Nautical Brass&Glass Lantern 14 Tall. Size 8 x 8"x 14" being 16.25 to top of handle. Has a dent along bottom (See Pictures) It has no inners as seen by pictures. Functionality: Early anchor lanterns were oil-burning lamps, often using whale oil or kerosene, and featured a Fresnel lens to magnify the light, making it visible for many nautical miles. The design included features like hinged tops for access, vents for chimney, and attachment points for ropes to secure the lantern against swaying.
