Owned by my Grandfather, passed down to me from the Ice House cottage they have owned. The ice house in the 1900's for cutting blocks of ice with saws and clasps pulled by the horses. Grandfather inherited it from the owner before him.
So very limited information other than it's years of service on the water. I spent hours cleaning it to the best of my of my ability without damaging any brass or parts (more than they are). Someone out there can clean it to their standard, but wouldn't want hurt any value for someone that enjoys the wear and tear of a century in the ice house.
